SUBJECT: TRUMP, BANNON AND THE FASCIST THREAT TO MY COUNTRY
February 3, 2017
Dear Senator Schumer,
When I graduated from West Point and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1962 I swore to defend the Constitution of the United States "against all enemies, foreign and domestic." While I am no longer on active duty, I still believe in and am motivated by the oath that I then swore. Now more than ever, action is needed. The domestic enemy of our constitution and indeed the entire nation, a societal and behavioral disgrace brand-named Trump, now sits in the White House amidst his fellow fascist advisors, in particular, a person named Bannon. Bannon is a man loaded with bigotry and oozing with violent subversive ideas directed against the state and against all citizens' right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. All this is no secret. Incredibly, Bannon has replaced the military and intelligence representatives on the National Security Council.
Senator, I demand that my political representatives, of which you are one, take dramatic and effective action to remove this menace from the White House. I further demand that you not support any, and I mean ANY, programs or appointees advanced by the even greater menace, an imposter under the brand-name TRUMP. Trump has already qualified for impeachment under the emoluments provision in the constitution. Trump also stands in virtual contempt of court by ignoring the rulings of federal judges on his notorious executive order regarding immigration. I most strongly encourage you to move against this living infestation now raging in full virulence in the nation’s White House.
Senator Schumer, as they used to frequently say to me in my plebe days at West Point, "Get in step, Mister!" I say to you and your fellow senators and congressional representatives...GET IN STEP! GET IN STEP WITH US! GET IN STEP WITH "WE, THE PEOPLE!” Time is of the essence. Join us in storming the White House. Join us in saving our country!
